Minimum viable RFQ
Electric passenger tricycle manufacturers requirement brief
Manufacturer responses become comparable only when passenger duty, route conditions, energy access, configuration, service expectations and the buyer's cost boundary are fixed. Capture these variables before accepting an alternative or comparing headline prices.
Submit the BriefComplete before comparison
Four groups of facts every quotation must preserve
Duty
Name the passengers or cargo, maximum intended load, route length, grade, surface, stop pattern, shift duration, weather exposure and indoor clearance.
- Occupants or cargo envelope
- Daily distance and operating hours
- Terrain, turns and access constraints
Configuration
Record seating or cargo body, dimensions, payload basis, curb weight, speed class, ground clearance, brakes, tires, enclosure and accessory loads.
- Passenger and payload ratings
- Body and protection options
- Exact model and revision
Energy and service
Ask for battery chemistry, nominal and usable capacity basis, charger input, connector, charging time conditions, route-range assumptions and service documents.
- Site power and charging window
- Climate and load assumptions
- Parts and diagnostic support
Commercial handoff
State quantity by option set, US destination, requested window, Incoterm, inspection stages, packing and the exact-model files required before shipment.
- Sample versus production order
- Per-unit versus total budget
- Freight and destination exclusions
Keep alternatives explicit
Passenger seating versus cargo deck, lead-acid versus lithium battery, open versus enclosed cab, turf tire versus industrial tire, higher speed versus low-speed duty and basic versus service-body fit-out each alter weight, energy use, price and maintenance. Ask factories to price labeled alternatives while the rest of the brief remains unchanged.
A high-end, mid-range, budget or undecided preference is a buyer trade-off request, not a verified supplier grade. For each alternative, record changes to configuration, rated occupants or payload, battery and charger, range-test basis, production timing, inspection scope, warranty wording, spare parts and freight preparation.
Check the evidence path
A dated quotation identifies commercial scope; a model sheet describes the offered build; a drawing or configuration schedule controls options; inspection evidence records what was checked at a stated stage. None alone establishes import, registration or road-use approval. Keep document identifiers and quotation revisions together, and route destination questions to qualified parties.
Send the minimum passenger configuration and delivery facts
Include route, seats, motor, battery, charger, quantity, destination and evidence expectations. Open fields may remain open, but every supplier should answer the same question and label substitutions.
